They fit a wide variety of situations, and there's nothing really more satisfying than raising a thick glass full of lager. Or that first beer when you get home! Or that one that you crack open at the start of your meal, or drink when you get out of work. This series celebrates the cyclical and every day nature of the world's most popular alcoholic beverage. This product is "Itadakimasu", a rough equivalent of "Bon Appetit". A great one to enjoy with fried food, herbed pork, or white fish. [Brewer's Voice]Back again is our classic German Pilsner. Its light, it's crisp, and it's incredibly drinkable, with just the right amount of European hop character to give the hop bite to keep it moreish, whilst also keeping it interesting. Only some very small tweaks were made from last year, with a focus kept on keeping its clean simplicity. Still made from 100% pilsner malt, we updated the hop profile to make it a tad more traditional, with the addition of Hallertau Mittlefruh supporting the more modern German Saphir hops. This gives the beer a loverly tangerine aroma on the nose with a bit of herbal spice in flavour, also bringing up the bitterness slightly to make it better fit its pilsner namesake. We updated the yeast as well, going from a more Bohemian strain to a classic German lager yeast to bring out more of a cracker-like honey sweetness, maintain a touch of body to the beer, while maintaining its dry finish. Brewed well before the holidays, this beer has had a proper amount of conditioning time for the flavours to soften and meld together. The German pilsner is a classic beer style that stands the test of time.
